Heartland is a collection of stories inspired by the Americana spirit found in the central part of the United States. None of the characters within these stories are real, but they could be. Heartland is a departure from Jim's previous releases in terms of its "stripped-down" and minimalistic flavor; most of these songs were recorded live (meaning guitar and vocals simultaneously) in the studio. After almost 2 years in production, Heartland is finally available to be shared, and hopes to allow the listener to draw parallels within their own experiences.
